This category is used to index discussions of gender-specific values, behavior, roles, relationships, and activities and the extent to which the values, etc. are exclusive to each gender and that are not covered elsewhere. This category is used for discussions of interpersonal relations within the same gender and between genders. This category differs from the category Gender Status in that status equality/inequality is not presumed. This category (along with other specific categories) is used to index discussions such as life histories that EXPLICITLY are presented as examples of gender roles, experience, and/or issues as well as to index explicit statements about such roles, etc.
